Subject: Brief Hold for EMS on Campus

Good afternoon, Union Hill community, 

Earlier today, we placed our campus on a brief Hold while EMS attended to a staff member in need of medical attention. During a Hold, students and staff remain in their classrooms to keep hallways clear for first responders. 

The Hold was released after about 30 minutes, and we resumed normal operations. We appreciate how well our students listened and cooperated with teachers during the Hold. Please feel free to contact me at 512-424-8700 if you have any questions or concerns.

Kona Ice Day is coming to Union Hill Elementary on April 23rd from 2:45 to 4:00 PM. Snow cones range from $4.00 to $7.00.

Dear Union Hill Families,

As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we are excited to share several upcoming events celebrating our students’ hard work and creativity.

On April 22, 3rd–5th grade students will take the STAAR Math assessment. Thank you for ensuring students are well-rested and ready to do their best. Kona Ice will visit the playground on April 23 from 2:45–4:00 PM.

Upcoming highlights include our Mother Goose Visit (May 4), Orffestra/Cinco de Mayo Celebration (May 5, 4:30–6:30 PM), and our Glow-in-the-Dark Book Challenge Celebration for Pre-K–5th grade readers. We will also host Muffins with Mom on May 6 (7:15–8:00 AM) and wrap up with Field Day on May 8.
