We are incredibly grateful to our Blackland Prairie families for providing a delicious Ramadan lunch for our staff today. It was a beautiful opportunity for our team to enjoy a variety of traditional dishes and learn more about the traditions celebrated by many in our community.

Today we are celebrating Crossing Guard Appreciation Day at Blackland Prairie Elementary. Our crossing guards are the first friendly faces many of our students see each morning and the last ones they see as they head home. They work in all types of weather to ensure our Wildcats can navigate the streets safely.

Calling all Blackland Prairie artists and scientists! We are looking for a creative student design to serve as the official backdrop for this year's Science Fair participation certificates.

- Who can enter: Any student interested in showcasing their art.
- Submission format: Use 8.5 by 11 inch white paper. (Preferably landscape orientation)
- Requirements: Include your full name, grade, and teacher's name on the back of your entry.
- Deadline: Please turn in your design to the front office by February 16.
-Winner Announcement: The winner will be shared during morning announcements on February 18.
