Dear Union Hill Families,
We are off to a great start! As we continue establishing routines for the new school year, we want to share a few important reminders to help keep our Little Lobos safe and our campus running smoothly.
A few reminders:
Dismissal changes and early student sign-outs must be completed before 2:15 p.m.** All dismissal changes must go through the front office.
* Boys & Girls Club: Registration and enrollment are handled directly through the Boys & Girls Club. Once your child is confirmed to attend, please notify our front office of the dismissal change before 2:15 p.m.
* Parent Walk-Up: Is for families walking to campus from the surrounding community. Families arriving by vehicle should use the car rider line.
* Students in 1st–5th grade may be approved to walk home. Pre-K and Kindergarten students must use an approved dismissal method.
* Please check your email for "PowerSchool Enrollment" and update your student's contact and emergency contact information.
* All students will walk independently to class. Staff will be available to assist and escort any Little Lobo who needs additional support.
* Parent lunch visits will begin September 8th, allowing students time to learn cafeteria routines, build independence, and develop relationships with their peers.

First Day of School Procedures for Pre-K & Kindergarten Families
Dear Lobo Families,
We are excited to welcome our Little Lobos for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 19, 2026!
To help our youngest students have a smooth and successful start, please review the following arrival procedures:
Wednesday, August 19 — First Day of School, Doors open at 7:15 a.m.
Pre-K and Kindergarten families will be permitted to walk their student to the classroom on the first day of school.
Families who would like to walk their child to class must pre-register using the link below.
All participating parents/guardians must be signed in by 7:35 a.m.
After 7:35 a.m., students will be assisted to class by Union Hill staff.

Thursday & Friday — Hug Zone Begins!
Beginning Thursday, August 20, families will say their goodbyes at our designated Hug Zone before students enter the building.
Don't worry, our Little Lobos won't be on their own! Union Hill staff will be stationed throughout the hallways to greet students and help walk them safely to their classrooms.
Building independence is an important part of starting school, and our team will be there every step of the way to help students feel safe, confident, and loved.

I am excited to share some GREAT NEWS!
Students at our school will now receive FREE on-campus after-school childcare and programming through the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area. We learned recently that we have received multi-year grant funding to support our families and staff with this free service.
The Boys & Girls Club after-school program is open to all students ages 5 and older, including Pre-K students once they turn 5, and runs until 6 p.m. each school day. It includes after-school care, high-impact tutoring, enrichment activities, and an afternoon snack, all at no cost.
Enrollment is now open through the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area. If you have any questions about the program or the enrollment process, their team will be happy to help.
We are proud to partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area to bring this outstanding after-school program to our students and families. We hope you'll take advantage of it!

Hello 5th Grade Families!
We are excited to celebrate our 5th Grade Graduation tomorrow morning! Doors will open for families at 7:45 AM, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. We will start on time regardless of late arrivals, so please plan accordingly.
If there are siblings enrolled at Union Hill who would like to attend the graduation, they may report to class first and then be signed out to attend the ceremony. If your child plans to remain at school afterward, they will simply need to be signed back in upon returning to class.

Round Rock ISD students will need to take home their district-issued Chromebook over the summer. All students’ Classlink and Google accounts will remain available over the summer break.
If you are a graduating senior, please return your device and charger to your school’s ITS before graduation.
Students participating in the district-provided summer learning programs will need to bring their Chromebooks with them each day.

Good afternoon, Union Hill community,
Earlier today, we placed our campus on a brief Hold while EMS attended to a staff member in need of medical attention. During a Hold, students and staff remain in their designated holding area based on their method of arrival, bus riders in the cafeteria and car riders in the East Hallway, to keep hallways clear for first responders.
The Hold was lifted after approximately 30 minutes, and we resumed normal campus operations. We greatly appreciate how well our students followed directions and cooperated with staff during the Hold. Thank you as well to the parents and teachers who assisted redirecting students safely to the building.

Hello Lobo Families!
We are excited to celebrate the end of the school year with two fun-filled student events on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Lobo Land and Wolf Water Park!
Please review the schedules below so students are prepared for their special day.
Lobo Land Schedule:
(FAC, ECSE, LID, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade)
9:00–9:45 AM – FAC, ECSE, LID
9:30–10:30 AM – Pre-K
10:45–11:45 AM – 1st Grade
11:45 AM–12:45 PM – Kindergarten
Lobo Land will include age-appropriate activities (bounce houses) and fun for our younger Lobos. There will be no water activities during Lobo Land.
Wolf Water Park Schedule:
(2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, and 5th Grade)
9:00–10:00 AM – 3rd Grade
10:00–11:00 AM – 2nd Grade
11:00 AM–12:00 PM – 5th Grade
12:00–1:00 PM – 4th Grade
Students participating in Wolf Water Park should bring:
A towel
A change of clothes
School-appropriate shorts
A colored t-shirt to wear over their swimsuit
Shorts and T-shirts are to be worn over swimsuits.
Parents are welcome! If you plan to attend, please arrive 15 minutes before your student's assigned time.
